# Profile settings

> Update your profile, preferences, notifications, password, and active sessions.

**Profile settings** manages your personal ImaraCare account — separate from facility-wide [Facility settings](/administration/facility-settings).

## Profile tab

Update your display name, email, phone, department, and bio. Changes save through your user profile.

## Preferences

Set theme (light or dark), language, and in-app notification toggles.

## Email alerts

Configure which email notifications you receive. Facility-wide email rules may still be set by Administrators.

## Security

Change your password and review security options. See [Security](/account/security) for facility-wide policies.

## Active sessions

View devices and browsers where you are signed in. End individual sessions or sign out all other devices remotely. Sessions auto-expire after **15 minutes** of inactivity (HIPAA requirement).

Open **Profile settings** from your avatar menu (top right).
