# My Shift

> View today's tasks, appointments, and shift notes for frontline staff.

**My Shift** is the primary workspace for **Staff** caregivers at the start of a shift.

## Open My Shift

Select **My Shift** from the sidebar (or bottom navigation on mobile).

## Today's work

The page typically shows:

* **Tasks** assigned to you or due today
* **Appointments** scheduled for the facility or your residents
* **Shift notes** from the prior shift (Manager and Administrator can add facility-wide notes)

## Complete tasks

Open a task to update status or add notes. Staff can edit tasks they created or that are assigned to them; Managers can manage all facility tasks.

## Handoff

When a shift ends, Managers may record handoff notes visible on the next shift's My Shift view. If your access to a facility ends due to handoff, see [Access ended](/account/access-ended).

  Use **Quick actions** on the [Dashboard](/daily-operations/dashboard) if you need eMAR or incidents without returning to My Shift first.
