# Service orders

> Track maintenance and facilities work orders from request through completion.

**Service orders** manage facilities maintenance — plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, structural, grounds, and general repairs.

## Create a work order

Enter category, priority (including emergency), location, assignee, scheduled date, estimated cost, vendor, and notes. Status flows from **open** through **assigned** and **in progress** to **completed** or **cancelled**.

## Filter and assign

Filter by status, priority, category, or assignee. URL parameters support deep-linking to filtered views for handoffs.

## Team handoffs

When an Administrator removes a user, the [Team invitations](/administration/team-invitations) handoff wizard can reassign open service orders.

## Export

Generate a **PDF** detail sheet for vendor records or compliance documentation.
