# Task manager

> Assign, track, and complete facility tasks with priorities and due dates.

The **Task manager** tracks operational work across your facility — maintenance follow-ups, resident care tasks, administrative items, and more.

## Create a task

Add a title, description, category, priority, assignee, optional resident link, and due date. Tasks start as **open** and move through **in progress**, **completed**, or **cancelled**.

## Who sees what

* **Staff** see tasks they created or are assigned to
* **Managers and Administrators** see all facility tasks and can edit or delete broadly

## Filter and deep links

Filter by status, priority, or search text. Share task URLs to jump directly to a specific record.

## Dashboard shortcut

Use **Create task** from the [Dashboard](/daily-operations/dashboard) quick actions when permitted.

## Export

Print a **PDF** detail sheet for a single task when you need a paper record.
