# Accept a team invitation

> Join a facility when your administrator invites you by email.

Administrators invite team members from **Settings → Team**. You receive an email with a link to join the facility.

## New users (no ImaraCare account)

    Click the link in your invitation email. It opens the accept-invite page.

  <Step title="Create your account">
    Enter your full name and choose a password that meets the strength requirements.

  <Step title="Sign in">
    After acceptance, sign in at [app.imaracare.com/login](https://app.imaracare.com/login) with the same email the invitation was sent to.

## Existing users (already have an account)

1. Open the invite link while signed in with the **same email** the invitation used.
2. Confirm acceptance to add the new facility membership.
3. Use the facility selector to switch to the new site.

<Warning>
  If you are signed in with a different email than the invitation, sign out and sign in with the invited email, or ask your Administrator to resend the invite to the correct address.

## Invitation expired or invalid

Invitations expire after **7 days**. Ask your Administrator to send a new invitation from **Settings → Team**.

## Your role after accepting

The Administrator chooses your role (**Staff** or **Manager**) when sending the invite. You cannot promote yourself to Administrator through the invite flow.
