# Resident belongings

> Log personal items brought in by residents for admission, inventory, and discharge.

**Resident belongings** tracks personal items residents bring into the facility — clothing, electronics, valuables, medical items, and more.

## Log an item

  <Step title="Open Belongings">
    Go to **Resident care → Belongings**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Add entry">
    Select the resident, category, item name, quantity, condition, storage location, and notes.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Update on discharge">
    Edit or remove entries when items leave with the resident.
  </Step>

## Categories

Items are grouped as clothing, electronics, valuables, medical, personal, or other. Filter the list by resident or category and search across item fields.

## Resident profile

Belongings also appear under the resident profile **More** tab when enabled.

## Exports and bulk import

Print a **PDF** detail sheet for admission or discharge packets. Administrators can bulk-import belongings via [Data import](/administration/data-import).
