Overview

Residents must be reassessed on a regular schedule to ensure their care needs remain within the facility’s permitted scope. ImaraCare automatically calculates and tracks the next reassessment due date for every resident based on when their last assessment was completed.

How the schedule works

When a resident assessment is completed:
  1. ImaraCare calculates the next due date: completion date + reassessment cadence (default 12 months, configurable per jurisdiction profile).
  2. A schedule entry is created or updated for that resident.
  3. The schedule entry appears on the Reassessment Schedule tab under Assessments.

Viewing the schedule

Go to Compliance → Assessments and click the Reassessment Schedule tab. The table shows:
  • Resident name
  • Last assessment date
  • Next due date
  • Days remaining (or days overdue, highlighted in red)

Overdue reassessments

Residents whose reassessment is past due are highlighted and appear at the top of the schedule. The compliance dashboard also shows a count of overdue reassessments as a critical alert.

Completing a reassessment

When the due date arrives, complete a new assessment from the Assessments tab (click New Assessment and select the resident). Once saved, the schedule automatically updates with the next due date.
Review the Reassessment Schedule weekly so overdue assessments are caught before they become compliance findings during an inspection.
