Overview
ImaraCare maintains the complete mandatory training curriculum for boarding home staff. All topics are sourced from the statutory requirements for boarding home operator and staff training. The Curriculum & Assignments tab in Training Management gives you a complete view of every required topic, per-staff completion progress, and outstanding assignments.Mandatory training topics
The following topics are required for all boarding home staff. Topics marked Pre-contact required must be completed before a staff member may work directly with residents.Topics 10C (Laundry) and 10D (Housework) are only applicable at facilities that provide those services. They are not required before resident contact.
Annual renewal topics
The following topics require renewal every 12 months:- Abuse, Neglect, and Exploitation
- Emergency Procedures — Contacting Emergency Personnel
- Assisting Residents with Self-Administration of Medication
- Injury, Incident, and Unusual Accident Reporting
- Emergency, Evacuation, and Disaster Plans
Viewing the curriculum
Go to Staff & HR → Training and click the Curriculum & Assignments tab. Each topic row shows:- Topic name with a One-time or Annual renewal badge
- Completion window (days from assignment date)
- A progress bar showing how many assigned staff have completed the topic
- A ▾ button to expand the full topic description
Assigning a topic to a staff member
- Click Assign Topic in the top-right corner of the Curriculum tab.
- Select the staff member from the dropdown (only Active staff are shown).
- Select the topic from the curriculum list.
- Set a due date.
- Click Assign.
Marking a topic complete
Find the pending assignment in the curriculum view or Training Records tab and click Mark Complete. The system:- Records the completion with a timestamp.
- Re-evaluates the staff member’s Resident Contact Clearance status.
- If all pre-contact topics are now complete, clears the Not Cleared badge automatically.
Completion window
Each topic has a completion window — the number of days from assignment date by which the training must be finished:- 7 days — high-priority topics (abuse prevention, medication, emergency, incident reporting)
- 14 days — knowledge topics (resident rights, complaint process, health services, facility services)
- 30 days — certifications (CPR/First Aid, if applicable)
