Overview

Boarding homes must maintain first aid supplies and conduct regular audits to confirm all required items are present. ImaraCare provides a structured audit form with a standard checklist of required supplies. Each audit is timestamped and stored for inspection review.

Conducting a first aid audit

  1. Go to Facility Operations → Emergency Preparedness.
  2. Click Conduct First Aid Audit.
  3. Enter the audit date (defaults to today).
  4. Work through the supply checklist, checking off each item that is present.
  5. Any unchecked items are automatically marked as missing.
  6. Add notes if needed (e.g., items on order, kit location checked).
  7. Click Save Audit.
If any items are missing, the audit is recorded as FAIL and you will see a warning prompting you to restock.

Standard supply checklist

The default checklist includes adhesive bandages (multiple sizes), sterile gauze pads, medical tape, disposable gloves, antiseptic wipes, CPR face shield, first aid manual, scissors, tweezers, and instant cold packs. Your Administrator can customize the list under Facility Settings if your jurisdiction requires additional items.

Viewing audit history

The audit history panel under First Aid Audits shows all past audits with date, auditor name, pass/fail result, and any missing items noted at the time.
Schedule first aid audits on a regular calendar reminder — monthly or quarterly depending on your jurisdiction’s requirements. Consistent audit records demonstrate proactive compliance to inspectors.
