Overview

Boarding homes are required to conduct a minimum number of emergency evacuation drills each year. The Drill Compliance widget in Emergency Preparedness shows your progress toward the annual requirement and flags when you are at risk of falling short.

Viewing drill compliance

Go to Facility Operations → Emergency Preparedness. The Drill Compliance card shows:
  • Required number of drills per year (from your jurisdiction profile)
  • Drills completed so far this calendar year
  • A progress indicator (e.g., “1 of 2 required drills completed”)
  • Compliance status: On Track or Action Required

Logging a drill

  1. Open Emergency Preparedness.
  2. Click Log Drill in the Emergency Drills section.
  3. Enter the drill date, type (announced/unannounced), participants, and notes.
  4. Click Save.
The drill compliance counter updates automatically.

Year-end compliance

At the end of each calendar year, ImaraCare creates a new compliance tracking record for the upcoming year. Historical drill records from prior years are preserved for inspection review.
Failure to complete the required number of drills per year is a common inspection finding. Log drills promptly after they occur — do not wait until the end of the year.
