Overview

The Rooms module lets you define every room in your facility, track who lives in each room, and verify that room sizes meet your jurisdiction’s minimum square-footage requirements.

Adding a room

  1. Go to Facility Settings → Rooms (Administrator or Manager role required).
  2. Click Add Room.
  3. Enter the room number, room type (single, shared, common, staff, storage, or other), floor, and square footage.
  4. Set the maximum occupancy.
  5. Click Save.

Room types

Assigning residents to rooms

When adding or editing a resident, select their room from the Room dropdown. The dropdown shows all available rooms with current occupancy counts. A room that is at maximum occupancy is greyed out. Room occupancy counts update automatically whenever a resident is assigned or moved.

Room-size compliance

Your jurisdiction profile specifies minimum square footage per resident for single and shared rooms. Each room row shows a compliance indicator:
  • Green — room meets the size requirement for its current occupancy
  • Red — room is under the minimum size requirement
To fix a compliance issue, either reduce the number of residents in the room or measure and update the square footage if the original entry was incorrect.

Tracking occupancy

The rooms list shows live occupancy counts (e.g., “2 / 3”) so you can see at a glance which rooms have capacity and which are full.
